How long have you been a licensed beauty professional?

I've been a licensed beauty professional for nine years.

What first pulled you into the beauty industry, and did you always know this was your path?

I grew up watching shows like What Not to Wear, and I was obsessed with the  transformative moments, especially the hair and makeup parts. Seeing how confident
people became stuck with me. I knew from around 12 years old that I wanted to be in the beauty industry. I didn’t know exactly how it would look, but I always knew this was my lane!

When did you feel the most burnt out, and what helped you shift out of that?

About two years ago, I hit burnout. I was stuck in the cycle of inconsistent clients, inconsistent income, and constant output. No real rest, and I was carrying a lot mentally. The shift came when I stopped operating like just a service provider and started thinking like a business owner.

I began working on my business, delegated, and brought on another esthetician. That gave me space to grow, think bigger, and actually enjoy what I
built again.

You’ve gone from the treatment room to business coach and events. What pushed you to go beyond the treatment room?

I wanted to diversify, but more than that, I wanted community. When I started, I felt like I
was figuring everything out alone and a lot of beauty pros still feel that way. Creating spaces where people can connect, grow, and collaborate became important to
me. I love helping others not just make more money, but feel supported while doing it.

What’s one thing every esthetician should start doing today to increase their income?

Stop waiting for new clients and start maximizing the ones you already have. Rebook every client, confidently offer add-ons, and actually follow up. Most estheticians are sitting on more money in their current client base than they realize.

What does a “10/10 client experience” look like to you from start to finish?

It starts with easy booking and clear communication so they show up prepared and on time. From the moment they walk in, we connect! They feel comfortable, confident, and taken care of.
