What were you looking for when testing Patina Hard Wax?
I was looking for something that was spreadable, especially for large areas of the body.
How did clients respond?
Clients loved the results! Reaction who? This wax was so gentle, even my most reactive clients noticed a difference with decreased redness after waxing. I can’t wait to show them the final product!
What are your nonnegotiables in a hard wax?
It needs to be easy to apply, remove cleanly, and leave minimal irritation.
What stood out to you most about Patina during testing?
The spreadability is amazing. It was perfect for large sections of the body.
What does it mean to you to see Patina officially launching after being part of the testing journey?
It means so much to me being a part of this process! I love that I was able to help an amazing high quality product come to market. It makes me proud to be a part of this journey and I can’t wait for everyone to try it!

What were you looking for when testing Patina Hard Wax?
When testing Patina, I was looking for a wax that could apply a smooth application without using too much wax. One that gripped the hair with minimal touch ups and a faster set time since that’s what we were looking for in this formulation.
I was also looking to see if it was a good wax for beginner waxers, and it definitely checked all of those boxes!
How did clients respond?
My clients had nothing but good feedback, stating that the wax felt really smooth and gentle. They were also excited for me to be a part of this process, as well as them getting to experience it as well.
What are your nonnegotiables in a hard wax?
When it comes to wax and products used in my treatment room, I look for products that have sensitive skin in mind. Unscented is a must. Having a low temperature wax is so important, I wish more brands focused on that as well. Wax that doesn’t crack, sets at a good rate but not too fast, to ensure the wax grips the hair for a more effective removal.
What stood out to you most about Patina during testing?
With Patina being a cream based wax, I was surprised to see how thin it could spread. It was very smooth, gliding on the skin like butter. I already know people are going to be obsessed with this formula.
What does it mean to you to see Patina officially launching after being part of the testing journey?
This is going to sound so silly, but seeing Patina launch has me feeling like a stepmom watching her bonus kid graduating haha. This is a proud moment for me in the industry!
