How long have you been a licensed beauty professional?
I’ve been a licensed beauty professional for 11 years. I actually thought I’d become a makeup artist, but I discovered how much I enjoy waxing and that’s where I’ve been since.
What first drew you to esthetics and waxing, and when did you know it was the right path for you?
When I first considered esthetics, I was actually working at a makeup counter and went to esthetics school thinking I would become a makeup artist. Like many programs, waxing wasn’t a major focus in school, so after getting licensed I chose to work at a waxing chain to really improve my technique and gain more hands-on experience.
That’s when I realized how much I genuinely enjoyed waxing. I loved the immediate results clients could see and the trust that naturally builds during services. Being able to create that level of comfort while helping clients feel confident made me realize this was the right path for me.
We love your content! How do you stay motivated to post consistently, and what helped you start creating high-quality content?

My motivation for posting is mainly to show clients the process and what the service actually looks like. Waxing can feel intimidating if you’ve never had it done before, so I like creating content that helps educate clients and set expectations. I’m also naturally drawn to high quality visuals, and since I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I try to bring that same level of detail into the content I create.
What’s one waxing tip or technique that’s helped you deliver consistent results?

Proper prep and aftercare make a big difference in delivering consistent waxing results. Taking the time to properly prep the skin and assess the hair growth pattern really sets the foundation for a smooth service. I also work with intention rather than rushing, which helps maintain precision and minimize irritation.
What’s a business decision you made that helped you grow in your career?
One business decision that really helped me grow was choosing to specialize in waxing rather than trying to offer everything. Focusing on one area allowed me to refine my technique and build confidence in my work. Sharing that work consistently on social media also helped me connect with clients and show the quality and process behind my services.
Is there a routine, system, or habit you rely on to keep your business running smoothly?
One habit that helps my business run smoothly is staying organized with my treatment setup so everything is ready and consistent for each client. Clear client communication is also important, from confirmations to setting expectations for the service. I also try to set aside time during the day to film content, which helps me stay consistent without disrupting my workflow.

What goals are you most excited to focus on in the year ahead?
Since becoming a solo esthetician a little over a year ago, I’m really excited to continue growing my business and building my client base.
I’m also looking forward to creating more content that helps clients understand the services I offer and feel more comfortable and confident coming in for their appointments.
